It is the crazy project of Chardeau, an intergalactic and crazy operatic rock born of his meeting with Alan Simon (Gaia, Excalibur, Tristan & Yseult, Big Bang) which signs the libretto and the staging. An unlikely event involving John Helliwell (Supertramp), Martin Barre (Jethro Tull), Jerry Goodman (Mahavishnu Orchestra), Michael Sadler (Saga), Christian and Francis Décamps (Angel), People of the Moon, John Van Eps (Chicago ), Roberto Tiranti, Jean-Claude Drouot (in the role of God) ...

Si ses références sont de l’autre côté de l’Atlantique, Chardeau chante en français sur une musique rétro-futuriste flamboyante et puissante, riche et colorée, quelque part entre Chicago, Magma, Spirit, Genesis (époque Peter Gabriel), Steely Dan et Stravinsky, mais pas que. Cela n’empêche pas certains médias d’y entendre, ici et là, des touches de Michael Franks, Williams Sheller, Higelin ou Polnareff… Curieuse alchimie trans-genre donc.
Ainsi va Chardeau. Progressif, rock, baroque, jazz, pop, classique…, l’électron libre puise dans toutes les sources pourvu qu’elles soient bonnes. On ne peut rester indifférent à la qualité de ses compositions, à la nudité sans artifice de sa voix et à ses orchestrations jubilatoires.
