Chardeau in clubbing version, why not ? We are afraid of nothing! If you have listened to his last album Fauves & Pastels  you will have noticed that one of the tracks stands out from the lot. Both in his sonorous treatment and in his rhythm, far from the californian atmosphere that dominates the album. Add some explicit lyrics ("sexplicit" in this case ...) and L'Amour Rome Antique appears probably the most improbable track of the Chardeau production.

From there, we have imagined to push even further, to publish a clubbing version, to surprise the dancefloors and drive Chardeau where he is not expected.
Let's be decomplexed. Let's try, we have nothing to loose...

In this perspective, L'Amour Rome Antique - re-titled Love Antique for non-francophone audience - was remixed by Cyrille Levi in Montreal and by Howie Beno (whom John Van Eps recommended to Chardeau) in New York, all in the form of a 5-tracks EP.

Love Antique

Howie Beno has produced, mixed and remixed, among others, artists such as Depeche Mode, Dionne Warwick, Tom Jones, Ministry, Blondie, Three Six Mafia, Xzibit, Human League, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Grace Jones (Sex Drive) and now ... Chardeau!
